Where performance meets heritage. This premium technical hat is crafted from hydrophobic recycled rPET fabric designed to bead off water, resist sweat, and keep you comfortable in the sun.
Engineered with BuoyFloat™ Technology, it’s built to stay above water — whether you’re offshore, on the dock, or caught in the spray. Laser-cut ventilation panels increase airflow while the moisture-wicking inner band keeps you cool and dry.
Inside the hat, USA is spelled using traditional maritime signal flags, while the interior seam tape features the iconic phrase "We The People" — a tribute to the founding words of the United States as we celebrate 250 years of American independence.
The hat is finished with a red, white, and blue Buoy 71 PVC shield patch on the front and a red Buoy 71 patch on the back — a nod to the boating rule every captain knows:

It's a great shirt. I ordered a men's large (my usual size) and it fit perfectly. I need sunshirts to protect me, and this one has three features I look for: A collar that fits closely at the neck for coverage but not too tight (I wear a 17" dress-shirt collar), sleeves long enough to cover all the way to the hand and a cuff that stays in place (I wear a 34" dress-shirt sleeve), and a hem long enough to tuck and stay tucked or to leave out without riding up or flapping. Most shirts don't provide all three features. The fabric also feels great. Finally, the printing on the chest and back are sharp and full. Margaret was also great to work with. This purchase was a test for my possible purchase of several personalized for a group of friends who has sailed together in the Abacos. I look forward to working with Margaret again!
